My Story
I played with LEGO's religiously as a kid. As I grew up, I felt my joy for the brand slipping away. From there on, my relationship with LEGO was very on and off. The only times I would consume the products was if I watched a good movie, I would buy the corresponding LEGO set. Once I was in high school my priority in life was athletics. Once football ended in my senior year, I felt a hole was ripped out of my life, that I needed to fill. I got back into LEGOs with the 76178 The Spider-Man Daily Bugle. I fell in love with this model after I watched Netflix's Daredevil and Punisher, as they were characters included in the set. Shortly after, Spider-Man No Way Home released into theatres on December 17th 2021, and I could not wait for the LEGO sets to be produced. It took LEGO almost two years to officially release a branded set, but during that time I discovered the purist minifigure community. Content creators were taking existing minifigures and upgrading them in YouTube videos. I noticed that nobody on YouTube was making R-Rated properties like Breaking Bad, The Walking Dead, and more. Instagram users created content that I was looking for, so I initially took inspiration from them. I started with short form content, and then moved into long form showcases. The rest is history.
